What are your preferred methods for juicing citrus?

Here are my personal methods for juicing citrus fruits:


 

I. Small Quantity Emergency Juicing (1-2 lemons/limes)

▸Fork Method

1. Cut the fruit lengthwise in half (from stem to navel), exposing more pulp than a horizontal cut.
2. Use the fork tines to pierce the core of the pulp and rotate to break down the fibers.
3. When squeezing by hand, use a plastic bag to prevent splashing; squeeze the juice out from the corner of the bag. Suitable for: cocktails, salad dressings; 30-second process, no need to wash tools.


 

II. Daily Household Juicing (3-5 oranges/grapefruits)

▸Two-Step Hand-Peeling Juicing Method

1. Manual Peeling: Remove the white pith and tear into small pieces (preserving the fruit's texture).
2. Gauze Wrapping and Squeezing: Wrap the fruit in medical gauze and squeeze out the juice while suspended in the air.
3. Fruit Pulp Refill: After juicing, pour the whole fruit pieces back into the glass. Advantages: Zero metallic taste, maximum pulp texture, suitable for making orange drinks for children with maximum pulp texture.
